Cégjegyzékszám (registration number)
The company's identifier in the register: ten digits split 2-2-6 — registry court, company form, serial number.
Also known as: Hungarian company registration number.
The first two digits name the registry court where the company was registered — 01 is the Metropolitan Court of Budapest. The next two give the company form: 09 is the Kft., 06 the Bt., 10 the Zrt. The last six are a serial number within that court.
The number records the place of registration, not today's seat, so for a company that moved to another county the two can differ. A change of company form, however, brings a new registration number.
